Economic and investment cooperation between Ukraine and Israel

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine in first half of 2023 the total trade in goods between Ukraine and Israel amounted to $337.8 mln.

Exports amounted to $176.64 mln. and imports - $161,17 mln.

The positive for Ukraine balance of foreign trade in goods and services amounted to $15 mln.

The main export commodity groups from Ukraine to Israel were: grain crops; ferrous metals; food industry residues and waste; fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin; wood and wood products; nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery; alcoholic and soft drinks and vinegar; ferrous metal products; milk and dairy products, eggs; honey; flour grinding production; plastics, polymeric materials; electric machines.

The structure of Israeli exports of goods to Ukraine: various chemical products; mineral fuel, oil and products of their refining; plastics, polymeric materials; electric machines; fertilizers; оptical, cinematographic apparatus; edible fruits and nuts; pharmaceutical products; nuclear reactors, boilers.

Investment cooperation

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, direct Israeli investments (balances on direct investment instruments) in the economy of Ukraine as of 31.12.2022 amounted to 88.5 mln. USD.

The main areas of application of equity instruments for Israeli investments in Ukraine by type of economic activity were: information and telecommunications; real estate transactions; finance and insurance; wholesale and retail trade; arts, sports, entertainment and recreation; processing industry; health care and social security; agriculture, forestry, fishery; construction; transport, storage, post and courier services.
