According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, as for 2020 the total trade turnover made US $ 907,3 m. and decreased by 18.9% compared to the previous year (in 2019 - US $ 1.1 bln.). Export made US $ 710,2 m. and decreased by 17.1 %, while import – US $ 197,1 m. and decreased by 24.3%. Positive for Ukraine trade balance was US $ 595,7 m.
Trade in goods
As for 2020 the trade in goods made US $ 734,5m. and decreased by 11.2% compared to the previous year (2019 - US $ 826,8 m.). Export made US $ 563,5 m. and decreased by 9.2 % (2020 - US $ 620 m.), while import – US $ 171 m. and decreased by 17.3% (2019 - US $ 206,7 m.). Positive for Ukraine trade balance in goods was US $ 413,3 m.
The main exports from Ukraine to Israel were: cereals (40 %); ferrous metals (18 %); remains and wastes of food industry (6.6 %); alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages (3.6%); oil and fats (2.6%); food industry by products (5.5 %); wood (3%), oil seeds and oleaginous plants (2.8 %).
Main imports from Israel to Ukraine were: various chemical products (38 %); mineral fuel, oil and products of their refining (12.8 %); plastics, polymers (8.7 %); pharmaceutical products (4.5 %); оptical, cinematographic apparatus (4.3 electric machines (3.6 %); eatable fruits and nuts (3.6%); nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery (3.2 %).
Trade in services
As for 2020 the trade in services made US $ 172,8 m. and increased by 40.4 % compared to the previous year (2019 - US $ 289,5 m.). Export made US $ 146,7 m. and decreased by 37.9 % (2019 - US $ 235,9 m.), while import – US $ 26,1 m. and decreased by 51,4% (2019 - US $ 53,6 m.). Positive for Ukraine trade balance in services was US $ 120,5 m.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, as for September 2020 the volume of direct Israeli investment in Ukraine amounted US $ 68,7 m.
