On April 26, an evening dedicated to the 31^st anniversary of Chornobyl tragedy took place at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Israel.

Guests of the event honored the memory of liquidators of the Chornobyl disaster, noting their heroism and dedication in dealing with the aftermath of the greatest man-made disaster of mankind.

Solomon Okunev, nuclear physicist, spoke about the earliest days of the accident, being at that time a direct witness of the catastrophe.

Ukrainian composer and performer  Olexandr Skobin presented to the guests of the event concert of Ukrainian songs, dedicated to the 31^st  anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster.
