The Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel condemns the monstrous incident with the monument, established in Kyiv on the occasion of the Hanukkah holiday. We believe that such acts of vandalism are anti-Semitic and will not be tolerated.

We would like to express our confidence that the law-enforcement agencies of Ukraine will find the perpetrators of this incident as soon as possible and bring them to justice in accordance with the current legislation.

The Ukrainian side condemns all manifestations of xenophobia, anti-Semitism wherever they occur. It is the firm belief of the Ukrainian side that such manifestations of anti-Semitism and intolerance must be completely eradicated from modern society.
