October 3, 2018, in the city of Rishon LeZion the Association of Ukrainian Immigrants in Israel held an evening in commemoration of the 77th anniversary of the tragedy in Babyn Yar.

The evening started with a moment of silence and a prayer for the innocent victims killed during this terrible tragedy.

In his speech, Mr. David Levin, the head of the Association of Ukrainian Immigrants in Israel, spoke of the importance of preserving the memory about this terrible tragedy for the generations to follow and to prevent its recurrence in the future.

Poetry and songs about the tragic pages of history were performed at the evening.

Representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel, local community and immigrants from Ukraine in Israel attended the event.
