On October 25, 2018, the Ukrainian writer Sofia Andrukhovych and the program director of the Agnon Literary Center in Buchach Mariana Maksymiak, presented the book "The Key in the Pocket" at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Israel.

The presentation of the book is part of the project Ukrainian-Jewish dialogue about the literary heritage of Shmuel Yosef Agnon.

The Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Israel Hennadiy Nadolenko welcomed the guests and thanked for the realization of the project aimed at development of cultural ties between Ukraine and Israel.

Sofia Andrukhovych introduced the Ukrainian framework of reading of Agnon. Mariana Maksymiak spoke about the Literary Center and the hometown of Agnon - Buchach.

The book "Key in the Pocket" contains texts of the Ukrainian writers Yevheniya Senik, Andriy Lyubka and Sofia Andrukhovych, written during their stay in Buchach.

The event is a project of the Agnon Literary Center in Buchach and supported by the UkrainianJewish Encounter, Agnon House in Jerusalem, the NGO "Israeli Friends of Ukraine" and the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel.
