May 7th 2019, an evening dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, as well as, the Day of Victory over Nazism in the World War II was held in the Ukrainian Cultural Center in the State of Israel.
The Military Attaché of the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel Oleksandr Halyts spoke about the consequences of the bloodiest global conflict, the contribution of Ukrainians to the liberation of the nations of Europe from Nazism, the joint victory of all Nations united against Nazism in the World War II. He emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of the horrors of the war, in order to any such tragedies in the future.
The attendees mentioned the terrible events of the World War II, as well as the real stories of people who, by risking their lives, saved Jews from brutal death during the Holocaust.
The audience honored with a minute of silence those heroes, who fell, everyone who fought Nazism during the Second World War, as well as those who died in the struggle for the independence of Ukraine and the State of Israel.
The studio "Music Heart" performed Ukrainian poetry and songs for the guests.
