On July 7-9, 2019 Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Olga Trofimtseva paid a working visit as the head of the trade mission of Ukrainian food companies to Israel. During the meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the State of Israel Mr. Uri Yehuda Ariel HaCohen specific issues of cooperation in the agricultural sector were discussed, in particular, the expansion of trade of agricultural products in the context of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Israel, the resolution of problematic issues in the veterinary, phytosanitary sphere and standardization, opening of the Israeli market for import of Ukrainian meat and meat products, creation of a dairy cluster in Ukraine with the use of Israeli technologies. When discussing lifting the ban on imports of Ukrainian table eggs, the Ukrainian minister stressed the inadmissibility of further delaying the positive solution to this issue.
The issue of expanding of Israel's technical assistance in agriculture of Ukraine was discussed during the meeting of O.Trofimtseva with the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel - Director of the Center for International Cooperation "MASHAV" G.Khaskel.
During the business part of the #GOISRAEL2019 trade mission, representatives from 10 Ukrainian companies, mainly food and beverage companies took part in more than 100 individual B2B meetings with prospective buyers, trained on trading opportunities in Israel and access to the Israeli market. Representatives of Ukrainian food companies visited the Israeli companies for exchange of experience.
