With the participation of the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel, a solemn evening dedicated to the 29-th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence was held in the Rishon-le-Zion branch of the Association of Ukrainian Immigrants in Israel.

          On this occasion and in connection with the 42-nd anniversary of the Association, congratulatory messages were delivered from the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhapparova and the Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Israel Hennadiy Nadolenko.

          During the celebrations, the President of the Association David Levin and other speakers, including representatives of the older generation and youth wing of the Association, as well as the municipality of Rishon LeZion, in particular, honored the memory of prominent Ukrainians who made significant contributions to development of world science, medicine, art and music, strengthening the statehood of Ukraine.

          Traditionally, the participants of the event exchanged memories and thoughts, expressed wishes for the future activities of the Association, organized an impromptu concert of Ukrainian songs.
