Resumption of tourist trips and business visits from Ukraine to Israel was the key topic of the meeting of Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk with Minister of Tourism of the State of Israel Konstantin Razvozov.
E.Korniychuk informed K. Razvozov about the epidemiological situation, vaccination campaign in Ukraine and the measures taken by the Ukrainian authorities as the response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Ambassador emphasized the importance of recognizing vaccination passports between Ukraine and Israel for exchange of visits and reviving bilateral cooperation in all spheres and informed the Israeli minister about the relevant negotiation process between the two countries (specifically on mutual recognition of vaccination with vaccines approved by the FDA). E. Korniychuk also requested assistance of the Ministry of Tourism of Israel for fast completion of these negotiations.
The Israeli Minister informed about the Israeli government's plan for the resumpsion of organized tourist and business trips from the end of October this year and expressed readiness to provide comprehensive assistance in accelerating the process of mutual recognition of vaccination passports.
The parties also acknowledged the necessity to hold this year the Joint Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and agreed to work out the issue of including tourism topics in the agenda of its next meeting.
