The parties discussed the development of bilateral Ukrainian Israeli relations, political dialogue between the two countries, and ways of cooperation at the interregional level, during the celebration of the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah in Uman this year.
The negative impact on bilateral Israeli-Ukrainian relations of the Israeli decision to introduce an electronic visa (ETA-IL) for entry for Ukrainian citizens was underlined. At the same time, the parties welcomed the decision to postpone the start of this permit for 5 months (starting from January 1, 2025) as the first right step towards resolving this issue.
The interlocutors also discussed the upcoming participation of the Israeli side in the anniversary of the commemoration of the victims of the Babyn Yar tragedy, which will be held this year on September 29 in Kyiv.
During the meeting, the parties agreed that the Ukrainian and Israeli peoples, especially now, in these difficult times of war in both Ukraine and Israel, understand and support each other like no other.
