During the visit, the Ukrainian delegation held a number of meetings with Israeli colleagues, during which the most urgent and painful problems of our country were discussed.
In particular, Mrs. O. Kondratiuk met with Knesset Speaker A. Ohana, Vice Speaker I. Shasha-Biton, P. Tameno-Shete, head of the parliamentary committee on gender equality in Israel. A meeting was also held with the Friendship group with Ukraine in the Knesset and its co-chairs Mr. Edelshtein and Mr. Elkin.
The urgent issue of deepening inter-parliamentary cooperation and the inclusion of Israel in the sanctions policy against the aggressor country of russia were discussed, as well as need for closer Ukrainian-Israeli cooperation within the UN and other leading international platforms.
Delegation urged colleagues from the Knesset to join the international campaign for the return of tens of thousands of Ukrainian children illegally taken to russia and requested corresponding statement in the Knesset.
Israel supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and does not recognize the annexation of our territories by the russian federation. Ukraine is grateful to Israel for its constant support in international organizations, voting for relevant UN resolutions and active participation in the implementation of humanitarian projects and initiatives.
During the meetings, cooperation between the countries was discussed, in particular, the start of the project to deploy the early warning system, which Israel decided to hand over to Ukraine. Today it is already being tested in Kyiv. Hope was expressed for the beginning of a new page in bilateral cooperation and further strengthening of Ukrainian-Israeli relations, both at the intergovernmental and interparliamentary levels.
In the framework of the visit, the delegation visited the Levinstein Medical Center, where they met with our military officer Andriy. He is undergoing rehabilitation in Israel after suffering serious injuries as a result of the russian invasion.
In the city of Ashdod, a meeting was held with Ukrainians who found temporary shelter in Israel. Ukrainian parliamentarians got acquainted with how the civil protection system functions, and how local self-government helps displaced persons from Ukraine.

In Netanya, Ukrainian parliamentarians got acquainted with the activities of one of the largest automated logistics hubs in the country. He became the heart of sending humanitarian and medical aid from Israel to Ukraine. The delegation expressed its gratitude to the Ukrainian-Israeli association NEXUS, which organized fundraising and, in cooperation with the SAREL company, is purchasing tactical first-aid kits, tourniquets for the Armed Forces, as well as medical equipment and tools for the health care system of Ukraine.
