Dear friends! Here in Israel, we are anticipating a wonderful holiday, which is associated with honey, apples, pomegranates and sounds of Shofar - the Jewish ritual musical instrument. Tonight begins Rosh Hashanah. All over the world, Jewish people will celebrate New 5775 Year.
With all our hearts, we congratulate all our Israeli friends, everyone in Ukraine and other countries who will abide today “Rosh Hashanah Seder”. We want to congratulate all guests of Ukrainian city Uman’, which lately has become a worldwide symbol of these holidays.
We hope that for all of us the New Year will become happy, peaceful, and full of pleasant events, meetings and achievements.
And, to have our wishes come true, the sound of Shofar traditionally encourages people to look into the past year and to remember their mistakes and analyze their actions whether they did something good and helped those who were in need?
This year, both Israelis and Ukrainians faced many challenges. Nevertheless, due to the tragic events we have become stronger, more merciful and friendlier.
Here in Israel, we received invaluable help of our friends. The Jewish Community in Ukraine supported changes in Ukrainian society and defended our homeland against the aggressor. Ukrainians as well demonstrated solidarity with the people of Israel in their fight against terrorism.
With the sound of Shofar, we have a lot to remember and to be proud of and, of course, a lot to dream about our future.
Dear friends,
Regardless of our religion, let us join wonderful Judaic New Year tradition – let us make a decision to be better next year, to be more honest, kinder and more tolerant. Do not offend anyone, do more good, love your neighbors and try to make everyone around happier.
"May you be inscribed and sealed for a Good Year".
