March 9 an evening dedicated to birth anniversary of the great Ukrainian poet and patriot, educator Taras Shevchenko was held at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Israel.

In the framework of the event members of the Bat-Yam department of the Association of Ukrainian Immigrants in Israel organized an evening of Ukrainian songs and poems reciting of the world famous Ukrainian poet.

Also within days of culture, dedicated to the memory of Taras Shevchenko, members of Roerih Odessa-house museum and Institute "League of culture and social collaboration" organized an exhibition of reproductions of paintings of the great Ukrainian poet.
