On October 10, 2017, the Prize Awarding Ceremony of the 23rd International Cartoon Contest was held in the city of Haifa.

Kostiantyn Kazanchev, a well-known Ukrainian cartoonist won the first prize in the category "Technological innovations" and a special prize, as well. Ukrainians have won 8 out of 22 prize winning cartoons of the competition. We sincerely congratulate the winners - K. Kazanchev, V. Kazanevsky, O.Dubovsky, O.Kustovsky, O.Kostenko, O.Loktev and V.Shevchenko.

Diplomats from the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel took part in the award winning ceremony and congratulated the winners. The event was attended by representatives of the municipality of Haifa, the diplomatic corps, participants and the wider public.

The international cartoon competition is held annually under the auspices of the Department of Culture of Haifa Municipality. This year, the Cartoon Exhibition was dedicated to 2 topics - "Technological Innovations" and "Parties&Celebrations” with 520 artists from 67 countries, that took part in it.
