On the occasion of the Day of Unity of Ukraine on January 22, 2019, a festive evening took place in the Ukrainian Cultural Center at the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel.
In the framework of the evening Nataliya Zhdanova performed a piano concert of classical music.
Olena Petrenko, the director of the Odessa M.Roerich House-Museum, told the audience about interesting historical facts and the significance of this state holiday for the Ukrainian nation.

Towards the late part of the evening a documentary was shown about the proclamation of the Act Zluky and transferred the audience back in those days with important historical events for those years.

100 years ago, on January 22, 1919 in the center of Kyiv at Sophia Square was proclaimed the Act Zluky between the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic. The dream of generations of Ukrainians with this unification was realized. This historical event became fundamental for Ukrainian statehood building and laid the foundations of national unity.
