On March 5, 2019 Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Israel Hennadii Nadolenko took part in a ceremony devoted to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Transnistria.
The event began with the lighting the Eternal Flame in the Hall of Remembrance at the Yad Vashem Memorial Complex in Jerusalem.
Ambassador H.Nadolenko laid a wreath in memory of the millions of victims of the Holocaust and delivered a speech at the anniversary conference organized by the Association of "Survivors in concentration camps and ghettos".
In his speech, H.Nadolenko remembered with sorrow the horrific events in the occupied territories of Ukraine and Moldova in 1941-1944 and noted: "The tragic events of the past century require us to preserve the memory of those innocent victims, educate new generations on the principles of respect for human dignity and tolerance, as well as to strengthen the efforts of the international community to avoid a repetition of such a disaster".
