Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Israel Yevgen Korniychuk met with representatives of the Breslav Rabbinical Committee in Israel. The interlocutors discussed issues related to pilgrimage of the tomb of Tzaddik Nachman during the celebration of the Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashanah.
The Ambassador informed about the new rules of travel to Ukraine, including the need to present a vaccination passport, a negative COVID-19 test result, an insurance policy. He also stressed the need to comply with anti-epidemic measures in Ukraine during quarantine due to the spread of coronavirus.
On their part, the representatives of the rabbinical committee undertook to carry out explanatory work among the Hasidic community on the need to comply with the requirements by Ukrainian law when crossing the state border and maintaining public order during their stay in Ukraine.
The parties agreed on cooperating on all organizational issues in preparation and conduction of this year's visit of pilgrims to Ukraine.
