I sincerely congratulate the people of Israel on an important date - the 72nd anniversary of the declaration of independence of the State of Israel.

The Jewish people paid a great price for their freedom, overcoming incredible difficulties and threats to build a successful, highly developed and independent state.

Today, we commemorate with you the memory of the fallen Israeli soldiers and the victims of terror, who died defending Jewish values and sovereignty of the state.

Ukraine and Israel are united by longstanding historical ties, warm friendship and close bilateral relations that are dynamically developing in different areas of mutual interest.

I am pleased to note that Israel is a reliable friend and partner for Ukraine. We continue to encounter new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries and deepen fruitful partnership for the benefit of our peoples.
